nerd4music:

This might be considered an unpopular opinion, but I thought The Perks of Being a Wallflower was mind-numbingly dull. Same goes for Catcher in the Rye. I’m not saying they aren’t great books, and I see why people like them, but they didn’t hold my interest at all. People rave…

Them chickens is ash and im lotion.: A rant about black women and the natural hair movement.

Ok. This is going to be very long and im going to go all over the place with this, but these are things that irk me about black women with natural hair that constantly lash out at women that choose to be relaxed/wear weave.

1. “Black women that have relaxers/wear weave want to be white.”

I’ve been relaxed, weaved, permed, braided and now I’m natural. I didn’t do any of those things because I was ashamed of being black. I just did them because they were the most convenient options at that time. Black women who go on self-righteous rants about “staying true to their roots” need to get off their high horse and CTFO.

How my best friend feels about Amber Riley. Sorry for the ratchetness.

Reputedly a scene was filmed where during the final battle Captain America saves an old man trying to protect his grandchildren. He tells him to ‘Get them to cover’ but as he walks away the old man asks him “Cap, is that really you?’. He turns and noting the man’s World War 2 veteran lapel pin trades salutes with him. As Captain America sprints away the children ask their grandfather ‘Do you know him?’ and he replies ‘We ALL know him’.

If this is true, it better be on the DVD.

In the meantime, who’s working on the gorgeous heart-bursting fanart that says “WE ALL KNOW HIM” on it?
